Carol Spurgeon - The Artist
Born in Missouri but greatly inspired by the Northwestern United States, Carol Spurgeon is a nationally recognized award winning watercolorist and workshop teacher. Spurgeon's career spans over twenty-five years while her "eye" for design, color and beauty commend her earlier years of observing and learning.
Spurgeon is well known for a soft comforting style but progressively now for the story telling paintings of people and places which include Myanmar, Peru, North Vietnam, Chile, South Africa, India, Philippines, and other countries.
She continues to recieve recognition and awards in various shows and is a signature member of Montana Watercolor Society and cooperate member of Gallery 16 in Great Falls, Montana.
